Privacy for Job Applications
What happens to your data when you apply to Unfuture through our application form.
Controller
The controller responsible for processing your application data is:
Unfuture GmbH
Obernstraße 50
33602 Bielefeld
Email: jobs@unfuture.de
Which data we process
When you apply through the application form, we process the information you submit to us:
- Name and email address
- Reference to the role (a specific position or a speculative application)
- optional: links to your LinkedIn and GitHub profiles
- optional: your uploaded CV (PDF, DOC, DOCX)
- your message to us — either typed or dictated via voice input
Purpose and legal basis
We process this data solely in order to review your application, get in touch with you and decide on a possible collaboration. The legal basis is the initiation of an employment relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with § 26(1) BDSG). Insofar as you provide us with data voluntarily beyond the mandatory fields — for example a voice recording instead of typed text — processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give when you submit the form.
Service providers we use
To handle the application we use carefully selected processors:
- OpenAI— Only if you use voice input is your recording transmitted to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. If you type your message, no data is transferred to OpenAI.
- Langdock — Incoming applications are stored in our AI workspace and reviewed there internally (hosting in the EU).
- Google Cloud — This website and the application interface run on Google Cloud Run in the europe-west1 region (Belgium).
Retention period
If no employment results, we delete your application documents at the latest six months after the application process has concluded, unless statutory retention obligations apply or you have consented to longer storage (e.g. for future positions). In the event of an employment, we transfer the relevant data into the personnel file.
Your rights and withdrawal
You have the right at any time to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of the processing of your data, as well as to data portability. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future — informally by email to jobs@unfuture.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
You can find the general information on data processing on this website in our full privacy policy.
